Fred Rochester — a born again disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, is a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was born and raised in Fort Greene/Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn NY. He’s repented of sin and placed his faith in Christ in 1976. He was water baptized according to Matthew 28:19 in 1979. Fred was called by the Lord into the gospel ministry in 1979 and was licensed to preach by the late Rev. Dr. B. J. Lowry of Zion Baptist Church in 1980. Fred, a Navy veteran, and his wife, Dr. Valeria Rochester were married in 1982. They’ve started Prevailing Word Ministries, Inc. in 1987. He retired from Metro North Railroad in 2018 as a Yardmaster after 31 years of service. They have one daughter, Sherylynne, married to Samuel Dix in 2018.
