Sadly, you cannot stop the misunderstanding in people's hearts and minds about Armageddon.
There's a problem. A mental block exists. The ones that don't want to humble themselves to be taught correctly. They were taught wrong and they don't want to be corrected because they believe that they're 100% correct. Then when you bring the correctly divided Word to bear on their error, they fight you, and talk over you and strive with you.
On Trump's campaign trail and various speeches, he touts that we're on the verge of World War 3. If anyone knows anything about world history, WW1 and 2 were terrible conflicts. Millions of people were killed and wounded. But because certain events failed to appear, both wars weren't Armageddon.
Back in the day, many people believed that Hitler was the Antichrist.
But they were wrong.
Hitler and other world leaders in the past and present gave indications that appeared to be that of the Antichrist, but they weren't the Antichrist.
The opinion and consensus of many people is, WW3 is considered Armageddon. The final battle. But the Scriptures tells us that this battle is before the millennial reign of Christ.
While it's true that we're getting closer to the end of the world and the Second Coming of Christ, the wars that we're seeing today is exactly what the Lord Jesus told His disciples.
When studying Bible prophesy, you must read all relevant Scripture to stay within the boundaries of contextual boundaries. Failure to study the part in light of the whole, leads to confusion.
Read one Scripture. Then read the reference Scripture or the suggested concurring referral Scripture.
Remember. Scripture interprets Scripture.
What does this mean? It means where you find one Scripture, find another that's in harmony or concurs with that Scripture.
Over the years, many Bible companies have placed letters next to the number reference of a Scripture. What they're doing is that they're leading you to find a corresponding Scripture that agrees with that Scripture.
The most dangerous thing that a person could do is attempt to use a single Scripture without using a concurring Scripture. Some of them intentionally do this to twist the Scripture to make their personal narrative work.
Once this is accepted, the person with the narrative is usurping the narrative above the Scripture. Never accept a personal unScriptural narrative above Scripture. Especially when Scripture rebukes their narrative.
The war within Gaza has major end time implications but it's not Armageddon.
It's simply "wars and rumors of wars." "Nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom."
Each war is just a birth pang that increases with intensity until something is birthed.
The Palestinians aren't a UN recognized nation. The world would like you to believe that Israel is an "oppressive occupying force" and that the Palestinians were the rightful owners of the land. This is a lie that's been propagated to expel Israel out of the land that the Lord God gave them in Genesis 12.
However, in Israel, archeological finding after archeological finding undoubtedly proves that Israel is the rightful owners of the land after they've displaced the Jebusites, Hittites, Philistines, Canaanites, and all the other nations after Israel came out of Egypt.
There's absolutely no conclusive evidence that the Palestinians were ever in the land of Israel before the children of Israel took possession of the land. Finding after finding only proved one thing. That Israel is the rightful owners of the land that the Lord promised to give to Abraham and his descendants, Issac, and Jacob (Israel).
The terror organizations operating within the Arabs called Palestinians have reached an obvious conclusion. They will never get Israel or Jerusalem. They've crossed the line and have determined that Israel must be killed. This miscalculation is a clear indication that they have nothing to lose and this is the end of the line.
Look at the war with Hamas and other terror organizations from what the Lord said.
Matthew 24:4-8 "And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."
So when will Armageddon take place?
The Lord told us in Luke 21:20-24...
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.
And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
Remember, Gaza is to the south west of Jerusalem.
Each war is just a birth pang that increases with intensity until something is birthed.
Look at another concurring Scripture about the final battle called Armageddon.
Revelation 16:12-16...
Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon."
These demon spirits that operated in Hamas to kill Jews last week is similar to the demon spirits that will assemble an army to surround Jerusalem. To surround Jerusalem means that the defenses of Israel have been completely compromised.
"Out of the mouth of two or three witness shall every word be established."
Zechariah 14:1-5 concurs with Revelation 16:12-16.
"Behold, the day of the LORD is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled,
And the women ravished.
Half of the city shall go into captivity,
But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Then the LORD will go forth
And fight against those nations,
As He fights in the day of battle.
And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.
Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,
For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.
Yes, you shall flee
As you fled from the earthquake
In the days of Uzziah king of Judah.
Thus the LORD my God will come,
And all the saints with You."
Notice this.
The Lord told the disciples what will happen on the Mount of Olives (see Matthew 24:3). And when the Lord ascended into heaven on the cloud, He ascended from the Mount of Olives (see Acts 1:12, Luke 24:50-51 Bethany, a village at the Mount of Olives, about two miles (3 km) from Jerusalem, on or near the normal road to Jericho). The very place where the Lord will return.
Isn't this amazing harmony?
You see. When the final battle takes place, the whole world will assemble to surround Jerusalem.
Then Revelation 19:11-16 takes place.
"Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns.
He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations.
And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS."
Exactly what the Lord said in Matthew 24:29-31.
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
So what Scripture in Revelation concurs with Matthew 24:29-31?
Revelation 6:12-16....
"I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
