Lest We Forget God

Updated: Aug 27

Hosea 8:14 (NKJV) “For Israel has forgotten his Maker,

And has built temples;

Judah also has multiplied fortified cities;

But I will send fire upon his cities,

And it shall devour his palaces.”

The 2024 election is a pivotal moment in time. It's no longer a give in for any candidate to win. What I have done is that I've put so much stock in an election like 2020. Many evangelicals prophesied that Trump would get a second term but that fell through.

It surprised everyone.

Why didn't he get a second term in 2020?

Look to the Middle East for the answer and look to Russia, Turkey, Lebanon, Iran and Yemen, shutting down the world economy.

Like chess pieces, the table is being set, but it's not there yet.

Enter China.

Then the Wuhan China virus hit the world.

Lock downs. Mandatory vaccinations. Threats of imprisonment, loss of jobs, and all sorts of end time Apocalyptic occurrences.

Once the nation and the rest of the world came out of this, some of us realized that normal isn't returning. Some of us, including me, began to search the Scriptures about the end times and some of us were convinced that this might be it.

But then as time progressed, the end time stage is still being set.

The final week of Daniel's 70th Week prophesy that he received from the Lord through the angel Gabriel is sure to come (see Daniel chapter 9).

October 7th for Israel was a time unlike anything they've seen since the Holocaust.

Iran is using Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. The Middle East is on fire and as we get closer to the return of the True Messiah, things are about to get worse.

It's very easy to forget God when everything is going great or bad. Regardless of how good or bad it gets, we must never forget God.

The text above in the book of Hosea was written 200 years before the Babylonian captivity which means that this was the Assyrian captivity of the Northern Tribes of Israel.

A grave penalty is imposed upon anyone for forgetting God.

Israel sinned against God and usually when you sin against the Lord, we forget His Word.

Then we look to other means to try to make the best of things without God.

Such repetitive sinful actions underscore why we depend so much upon fallen, sinful man instead of repentance and faith towards God, and obeying His commandments.

We cry for revival, a latter rain movement, an outpouring, but we know the cycle.

We "experience" our way and call it a "revival," then we return to sin like usual.

WE FORGET GOD just like Israel did and then we're back to square one all over again.

If you read Judges and 1 & 2 Chronicles, you see the endless cycle of revival with no sticking repentance. The house of God today is no different.

All you need to see is 5 out of 7 churches acting the same way. And in some cases, acting much worse than Israel.

Jeremiah 17:5-10 reveals that those that trust in man are cursed and those that truth in the Lord are blessed.

We can't trust in elections.

It's not to say that one shouldn't engage in voting but when a true believer in Christ chooses to vote, they must do a thorough examination, pray, and never suppress the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit.

When you're not sure to vote, and you choose not to vote, will you be penalized?

No.

But if you vote for an anti Israel, anti God, anti Bible platform that supports the destruction of Israel, abortion and homosexuality, you’re an enemy of God according to James 4:4.

One of the things that we have to understand is that God is in control even when wicked man is out of control. He knew in advance how this will go. So if anyone blames you for not voting, first of all, it's none of anyone's business.

What you choose to do, whether to vote or not, is your business.

Second, the Lord knows how to keep His children even in troubled times when His children remember the Lord and never turn its back on Him.

When Israel sinned against the Lord and banished them to Babylon, He kept them. And when it was time, Israel returned to the land of Israel (not PALESTINE).

After the Temple was destroyed in AD 70, the children of Israel returned to the land after 2000 years.

Starting with the Balfour agreement in 1917, the establishing of Israel as a nation in 1948, and the Jews taking the Temple Mount and Jerusalem in 1967.

According to Amos 9:13-15, they will never be uprooted from the land ever again.

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD,

“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,

And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;

The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,

And all the hills shall flow with it.

I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;

They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;

They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;

They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.

I will plant them in their land,

And no longer shall they be pulled up

From the land I have given them,”

Says the LORD your God."

The 2024 election will determine the further establishment of Israel or the delay of it.

Why the delay?

Certain leaders that God knew in advance are yet to be in place for two things to happen.

Read Isaiah 46:10-11, Psalm 75, and Acts 17:30-31.

Two further signs are imminent.

  1. The Abraham Accords.

  2. The Building Of The Third Temple.

IF WE FORGET GOD, some of us will miss the whole purpose of these elections.

The Second Coming Of Christ.
