“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem"

Matthew 23:37-39 (NKJV) “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’”

This passage that the Lord Jesus quoted from is from Psalms 118:25-27 (NKJV)

"Save now, I pray, O LORD;

O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD!

We have blessed you from the house of the LORD.

God is the LORD..."

Matthew and Luke's account of this passage is without contradiction. As a side note, we must understand two things when passages are quoted differently in the synoptic (summary) gospels.

  1. Matthew was an eyewitness and apostle of the Lamb.

  2. Luke, the beloved physician that accompanied Paul was not an eyewitness of the Lord Jesus, so Luke received the gospel completely by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, both accounts give a complete picture of the Lord.

Matthew and John were eyewitnesses. Mark and Luke weren't.

So look at Luke's account.

Luke 13:34-35 (NKJV) “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!

See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’”

Why would the Lord lament over Jerusalem?

Because He knew what lies ahead for her.

In Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke chapters 17 and 21, the Lord would establish the time in which the Lord would come as far as the events were concerned.

So we shouldn't be surprised at the statement that the Lord made after He rebuked the Pharisees, scribes, and lawyers of Israel.

Since the events of Gaza, most of the Body of Christ has made a pivot about understanding the end times. I have to admit that I wasn't interested in the end times until Covid hit the world.

Covid was a man made pandemic from Wuhan, China, with clear "Beast" or "Antichrist" events.

Events like...... Vaccination mandates. Lockdowns. Mandatory masks. Remain 6 feet apart. The president, governors, and mayors exercising National Emergency Authority powers to control almost everything Americans do.

Shutting down churches, synagogues, and mosques.

Churches around the world would have their church doors chained, and pastors were threatened with arrest for holding services. Many were arrested and churches were fined for disobeying the mandate. Pastors got creative and had services in the parking lot. Restaurants would build outside seating booths to cater to people. Others would provide takeout.

Sadly, many pastors toed the line and complied instead of resisting authority, citing Romans 13:1-7 and 1 Peter 2:13-17.

Many churches lost members to the disease. Preachers and pastors died from the disease.

Then there were courageous pastors that refused to comply, citing Acts 5:29.

No false prophet warned of this man made disease wreaking havoc in the world. We shouldn't be surprised.

But all of the government actions were hypocritical because many elected leaders refused to be subjected to their own "regulations."

It's ok to go to Walmart, bars, XXX movie houses, but you're not allowed to go to church.

Additionally, the Internet censored anyone that provided an alternative medicinal regiment to government vaccinations. The individual American right to seek your own doctor was shut down. Vaccines would take years to develop because of the strict testing protocols to determine the viability and risks so to have confidence in the quality of vigorously tested vaccines.

Government leaders sent sick patients to nursing homes that were filled with uninfected people, thus, creating another wave of needless deaths and illnesses. Loved ones were prohibited from seeing their sick loved ones unless they were vaccinated. Loved ones were prevented from removing their loved ones from nursing homes and hospitals where they may have been infected.

But some elected or appointed officials were able to remove their loved ones before they were infected.

All of these things were clear signs that became a precursor of what would take place during the final week of Daniel's 70th Week prophesy.

This prophesy is found in Daniel chapters 9, 11, and 12, Matthew 24:15-22, and detailed in Revelation 13:11-18, aka, the middle of the "week."

There's man made pandemics or pestilences and there's natural pandemics or pestilences.

The Lord Jesus warned us that these things would come to pass.

Matthew 24:1-8 (NKJV) "Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.

And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.

See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."

We should have known that we're entering a place in history that things will never be the same.

It took "Gaza" to wake some of us up. And now Gaza is a precursory or preparatory event that has unprecedented end times implications. Now Gaza isn't Armageddon (see Revelation 6:12-16 and Revelation 16:12-16).

Israel was already a divided nation when they were squabbling over judicial reform. Even the Arabs said that we don't have to do anything but it turned out that the planning for this dastardly attack were years in the making. A united Israel is what Hamas is now facing.

Just as sad is the "collateral" damage of the injuring and killing of Arab civilians that's unavoidable in any conflict.

What's happening in Gaza is just a taste of the most vicious time in history that Israel will ever know. The barbaric acts carried out by Hamas was the worst atrocities in the nation of Israel since WW2 when the Germans, under Hitler, initiated the "Final Solution."

Now because the Arabs will never see a "Two State Solution," they've entered into an all or nothing mentality that started with mercilessly and brutally killing men, women, and children. Then kidnapping many innocent Israelis are used to buy time and gain sympathy for the Israeli government to cease fire so Hamas could fight another day.

Already the MSM is showing the killing and injuring of innocent civilian Arabs to use it as propaganda. The intent is to take the attention away from what Hamas did on October 7th. Israel isn't deterred and they've had enough.

Israel had had enough and they've committed to destroying Hamas, once and for all.

The world has taken the unprecedented position to side with the Arabs and call for Israel to cease fire. But remember. Hamas started this war. All they had to do was not start the conflict. For years, Hamas has been a thorn in the side of Israel and they made a serious miscalculation.

There were 3 things that I shared several weeks ago that must be reiterated and shared in this blog.

The Temple will be built on the Temple Mount but it will require 3 things.

  1. The Complete Subduing Of The Arab Palestinians.

  2. The Middle East Peace Agreement (Abraham Accords).

  3. The Dome Of The Rock & Al Aqsa Mosque.

It's interesting to note that the Arab operational name is "Al Aqsa Storm or Flood."

Why?

The fear of the removal of the Al Aqsa Mosque located on the south portion of the Temple Mount, and the shrine, called the Dome of the Rock. Or the complete ceasing of using these locations to help give the Arabs a state within Israel, known as the failed Two State Solution.

In order for the Antichrist to appear in the final week of Daniel's prophesy, these things must be resolved.

This Antichrist must appear as Daniel 9:27 says

"Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;

But in the middle of the week

He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,

Even until the consummation, which is determined,

Is poured out on the desolate.”

To reiterate. A week is 7 days. In Bible prophesy parlance, 7 days is 7 years.

This is confirmed in the OT and NT. 1260 days is 3.5 years. 42 months is 3.5 years.

The Lord Jesus made mention of this in Matthew 24:15 (NKJV) “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand)..."

Paul confirms this in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (NKJV)

"Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

These Scriptures detail what will take place, beginning in the "middle of the week," or 3 and a half years.

Therefore, we now see why the Lord lamented over Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:1-3 (NKJV) "The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him:

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.

And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it."

Finally, this is the final outcome of Jerusalem is because of 2 events that took place on Mount Moriah.

1. Abraham commanded to sacrifice his only son on Mount Moriah.

2. The death of the only begotten Son of God in Jerusalem, on Mount Moriah.

By the way. Moriah means "chosen by Jehovah."
