No. This isn’t an attempt to demand that they be censored. As long as there’s some semblance of the Constitution, you have the right to speak your mind.
Even when other platforms don’t think that you have this inalienable right.
When you go on TV or post on YouTube or other social media networks and make a response to a sexual allegation against yourself, the last thing that you want to do is make any statements.
The right to remain silent is an inalienable right.
However, the moment that you open your mouth, it’s the moment that you’re in the spotlight. What you say can and will be held against you, criminal, civil, or in the public arena.
Has anyone wondered why the Lord remained silent?
Isaiah 53:7 (NKJV)
“He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.”
Luke 23:8-11 (NKJV)
“Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him.”
The prophesy about the Lord, over 700 years before His birth, came to pass.
The Lord is the Truth, and when you’re the Truth, you don’t have to say a word in your defense.
During the ministry of the Lord Jesus, He said what He said for 3 plus years. When it was time to crucify Him, He didn’t have to say anything in His defense.
John 19:6-12 (NKJV)
“Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”
Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.”
The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.”
Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid, and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.
Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?”
Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”
From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.”
You see. When you’re before your accusers, and it’s a lie, you keep your mouth shut because “anything you say, can and will be used against you in a court of law.”
On Christmas Eve, TD Jakes, decked in red like Santa Claus, attempted to preach a sermon about the birth of Christ.
There were, as usual, many statements that made you scratch your head because the Scriptures never allow anyone to take liberty to add or subtract the Scriptures.
Proverbs 30:6 comes to mind.
Nonetheless, interwoven with his message was a lot of statements that served a purpose.
Then you hear, “If I’ve sinned, there’s repentance, and the blood.” “But I have nothing to repent for.” Or words to this effect.
But according to Smart Christians Channel on YouTube, his video of TD Jakes’ response received a YouTube strike for copyright infringement.
So who initiated the strike request and why?
If what Jakes said was true regarding his denial of any involvement at Diddy’s sex parties, then there’s no need to request anyone to take it down or impose a copyright infringement.
In America, we still have the 1st Amendment, but people are suing people to silence the truth. If this is the case, everyone will one day be sued for speaking the truth.
Besides, YouTubers are using methods and means to change the way a person sounds, changing the original color of the video, and other ways to avoid a copyright strike.
Nonetheless, even if you use these drastic methods, YouTube will issue a copyright strike.
But the law is clear about fair usage.
The law means nothing and the Constitution is the enemy of anarchy.
Much like satan. He silences the truth by killing them.
Dead men tell no tales. But that’s why we have the Bible. satan and his children is powerless against the truth of the Scriptures.
In fact, Paul said in 2 Corinthians 13:8, “You can do nothing against the truth but for the truth.”
When you have money, you can definitely influence the outcome for a moment, but when truth comes, there isn’t enough money to keep truth quiet.
When the Lord was raised from the dead, the soldiers reported it, but they were paid to lie about something that really happened. But here’s the problem.
The soldiers were there and saw everything. It only proved to the Jews that the resurrection of the Lord actually took place.
Matthew 28:1-4 (NKJV)
“Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.
His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.”
Matthew 28:11-15 (NKJV)
“Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened.
When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, saying, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.’
And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.”
So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.”
Hence, this word from Ecclesiastes 10:19 (NKJV)
“A feast is made for laughter,
And wine makes merry;
But money answers everything.”
Ecclesiastes 7:7 (NKJV)
“Surely oppression destroys a wise man’s reason,
And a bribe debases (destroys) the heart.”
Micah 7:3 (NKJV)
“That they may successfully do evil with both hands—
The prince asks for gifts,
The judge seeks a bribe,
And the great man utters his evil desire;
So they scheme together.”
It’s not that Jakes bribed anyone, but when you have lots of money, it influences the heart to devise wicked schemes.
Evidently, TD Jakes had his PR/lawyer team went after anyone that posted his video from Sunday, Christmas Eve.
At the end of the message, Jakes further “explained” or defended his non involvement. He tries to paint his picture as a person that made "mistakes."
But there's a difference between a "mistake" and "Sin."
If you have a coloring book and you unintentionally color outside of the lines, that's a mistake. It wasn't on purpose.
When you deliberately and intentionally act in defiance of the will of God, that's a sin.
It's on purpose.
Jakes denies any involvement at P. Diddy’s parties with sexual immorality among immoral women and homosexuals. Which is expected for him to say because you have a lot to lose.
There’s no doubt that the schemers are also involved, looking to smear Jakes for a potential payday, just like with the so called “MeToo” movement, or the Bret Kavanaugh Supreme Court nomination hearings.
If you look carefully, predictively, the audience at The Potter’s House were supportive, but the balconies and the back of the auditorium used to be packed before the pandemic.
Jakes’ family was on the stage and looking at their faces, they may or may not reveal anything to give us a clue about the allegations.
When you’re taking in millions of dollars from The Potter’s House and other venues, you need to stop the bleeding, or you stand a chance of losing everything that you’ve worked hard for. The "kingdom" or "empire" can ill afford a mass exodus from its base.
But remember.
The Potter’s House was bought from another charismatic huckster, faith (fake) healer, peddler, and charlatan.
W. V. Grant.
Now when you use your pitbulls, to go after anyone that use Scripture to bring clarity and truth to bear, you’re the one that is wrong. It’s common to attack your accusers so that you would look like the victim.
They're attempting to flip the script.
The Scriptures clearly reveal that we’re not to associate with the world.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 is clear.
The qualifications for ministry is very clear. 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 lays out the qualifications for ministry if you desire to be an “elder” or a “bishop.”
When you take action to silence the truth, it underscores one fact.
The allegations might be true even, when it's unproven. Why? It gives the appearance that something took place. At this point, we don’t have all of the truth, but Luke 12:2 and Luke 8:18 reassures us that eventually, the truth will manifest.
But you don’t have to silence the ones that’s bringing the rightly divided truth to bear on the sin. It's like witness tampering. You intimidate the witness with bodily harm, lawsuits, threats, and other acts of violence to secure their silence.
But if you "know the truth," there's no need to demand YouTube to issue a copyright strike.
Why not suffer the wrong instead of doing wrong?
Most people are surprised that aggressively pursuing YouTubers took place.
Put yourself in a position. You’re committing sexual immorality and the Lord had seen it before the world began. Then it gets out. What’s supposed to be our response?
First. Don’t commit sin in the first place.
If you commit sin (don’t make public statements), repent, ask for forgiveness, get an accountability team together that will hold you to the fire, and have the self discipline to obey the Scriptures to live holy from that moment on.
Don't hire a PR/Lawyer team to make light of a serious issue. Completely come clean by starting to call it a sin. Now if criminality is involved, you better shut up and lawyer up.
Remain silent.
If you’re in ministry, step aside from the pulpit, and get yourself and your family together.
When you get an accountability team, you don't call the shots any more. They must have total control and they must have the ability to ask you the tough questions.
Most pastors, elders, bishops, will not agree with this, but the restorative process involving sexual immorality allegations requires complete transparency and credibility that can't be questioned.
You bring in the church members and you don't hold back and "color" what took place. The members will appreciate the candor and you must be prepared that some quality members will leave and no longer support you.
The church should have seasoned elders in place to handle the week to week operations in the absence of the sinning pastor.
Above all, God is offended.
If we fail to get it right with God, no matter how you operate in the natural, THE LORD WILL REMOVE THE CANDLESTICK, IF IT HASN'T BEEN REMOVED ALREADY.
Then transparency, honesty, and integrity goes a long way.
The moment there’s any hint of a covering up to protect the pastor and the ministry, you lose credibility. Don’t "circle the wagons" to protect the “image” of the pastor.
Lying will get you no where.
One truth destroys a stack of lies.
Protecting money, prestige and notoriety. They all MUST go out the window.
Humility and humbleness of persons saves all from God’s humiliation because He will spare no one.
So, there’s been more unverified allegations that will continue to bring more scrutiny on Jakes. But the only one that knows the truth is the Lord, TD Jakes, and the one that has no truth in him. satan.
Also, we must remember that false teachers are not in the Body of Christ.
Like Jude said, "they've crept in unnoticed." They're "evil men and imposters."
Bickle and Jakes fits the bill. They always sneak in and give the appearance that they're in Christ. Then they show their true colors that they're impostors, destined to be destroyed in hell. But even with peddlers, hirelings, hucksters, and charlatans, 2 Peter 3:9 is still in effect.
Wicked men and women that love money and hate God and His people.
Truth is persistent, pesky, and determined to rise to the top for all to see.
And when truth speaks, no one can kill truth.
The Lord Jesus (The Truth) rose from the dead.
